Your garden has teeth

In „Your garden has teeth“, the creators introduce the unwanted and the odd as a social norm within the setting of “the garden.” In this dance performance, the characters create a space where it is possible to experience the often thought about, and rarely acted on, human interactions that exist beyond social acceptance. The piece centralises the characters’ interactions, presenting the outcome as the result, with no explanation.

Through repetitive movements, changing rhythms, and contrasting shifts, the piece captures the essence of what appears foreign to the eye, yet feels instinctive to the mind. Evelina Kholod (SE) expands this through the fusion of bodies, the exploration of sharp contrasts, and inner dialogues expressed through movement. Alongside dancers and co-creators Avah Painter (NL) and Tina Marschner (DE), the piece comes together with music by Martin Gran (SE) and costumes by Vanessa Billton (SE). The team brings the work to life through their individual interpretations of instinctual thoughts, expressed through movement in „Your garden has teeth“.
