Gibt es eine absolute Realität? Oder zerfällt die Realität so wie wir sie kennen langsam in Fragmente fiktiver Ideologien? In diesem Performance-Prototyp untersuchen wir die Macht der Desinformation im Digitalen Zeitalter und wie sich dies auf unsere Konzepte von Wahrheit auswirkt.
In dem Roman „1984” schrieb George Orwell über die „Realitätskontrolle”, bei der die Bevölkerung vollständig von ihren Regierungen überwacht wird. Ist es möglich, dass die Verbreitung von Desinformation solchen Orwellschen Konstrukten ähnelt und das Verständnis der Menschen von der Realität absichtlich manipuliert? Gemeinsam werden die Performancekünstlerin und das Publikum/Testteilnehmer*innen eine dystopische Erfahrung erleben und darüber nachdenken, wie Desinformation als Mittel zur Demontage unserer Demokratie eingesetzt wird.
*Wir betrachten diese Performance als Prototyp, weil sie nur mit dem Feedback und der Interaktion unserer Testteilnehmer*innen/Publikum existieren kann.

THE FLAT EARTH: AN IMMERSIVE DANCE / PERFORMANCE PROTOTYPE
Is there an absolute reality? Or is reality as we know it slowly disintegrating into fragments of fictional ideologies? In this performance prototype, we explore the power of disinformation in the Digital Age and how this affects our concepts of truth. In the novel "1984," George Orwell wrote about "reality control," where the population is completely monitored by their governments. Is it possible that the spread of disinformation resembles such Orwellian constructs and intentionally manipulates people's understanding of reality? Together, the performance artist and the test participants/audience will enter into a dystopian experience and reflect on how disinformation is used as a tool to dismantle our democracy.
*We consider this performance a prototype because it can only exist with the feedback and interaction of our
test participants/Audience.
